Brush Pick Up for 2025

Absolutely No Contractor Brush Work Will Be Picked Up
or allowed to be Dropped Off at the Highway Department
Absolutely No Lot Clearing

May 5, June 2, July 7, Aug 4, Sept 8

Beginning Monday of the first week of the month we will have two teams

Team one: Will start in the western part of the Town working East
Team two:  Will start in the eastern part of the Town working West

Until all roads have been covered (138.78 miles)

Note:  Residents ~ please have brush on curb/roadside
Sunday night “Before” the first Monday of each current month to ensure your brush is picked up.

Once we have picked up brush on your street, pick up will “not” be done again until the following month.

• Please pile branches neatly at curb/roadside all in one direction parallel with the road, NOT in the street. 

• Maximum allowable branch length is six (6) feet.

• Maximum allowable branch diameter is six (6) inches.

• Absolutely No: Root Balls, Rocks/stones, Lawn Clippings, Thorny Brush, Plant Waste/ornamental Grasses or Vines (these items will cause damage to our material chipper).  We recycle our wood chips for use by residents of Vestal, who often use them in play areas for children.

If you cannot wait for pick up, you may bring your branches to the Highway Department located at 1801 Glenwood Road . M-F  7:30 am to 3:00 pm.
